Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is a department under Hospital Pengajar Universiti Putra Malaysia (HPUPM). CRU is a specialized department that manages clinical research conducted at HPUPM; which involves patient-centered and lab-based investigations.

To improve the quality of clinical research.
To improve patients’ health outcomes through ethical and quality clinical research.
To develop and foster good networks and linkages in clinical research.
Research Development and Management
To give support and help in research activities either Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) or Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR).
To assist in grant applications for research done in HPUPM.
To assist in research registration, ethics approval and assist in approval for publication.
To assist in grant and research monitoring in terms of progress and financial expenditure.
To assist in publication of research findings in good impact journals.
Research Consultation Clinic
To help those who are interested in doing research such as health care professionals and postgraduate students in identifying potential areas of research and proposal preparation
To coordinate training involving research in HPUPM.
To conduct workshops such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Research Practice (GRP), Continuous Professionals Development (CPD) and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
