SERDANG, May 15 – In conjunction with the Nurse Day 2018, Clinical Nurse Unit of HPUPM has organized a Nurses Day Celebration program in collaboration with the UPM Medical Cluster Nurse Club. The program aims to celebrate UPM's nurse as a continuation of the HPUPM Promotion Program Series for 2018.
The attendance of 90 guests (nurses and faculty members) was presented with gimmicks and montages promoting the theme of Nursing Day 2018: "Nursing: A Voice to Lead - Health is Human Right". The program was officiated by the Director of HPUPM, Prof. Madya Dr. Muhammad Hj Isa with the hopes of seeing UPM nurses, especially HPUPM able to empower their profession during the hospital's operation.
Among the exciting program during the celebration were the HPUPM's "Hand-Washing" presentation where it emphasized the importance of proper hand washing before, during and after with the patient. The selection of the best UPM nurses was also made and won by HPUPM Nurse, Pn Asiah Jafri with the majority support from online polls.
This program has provided the opportunity for all nurses from various places in UPM to exchange their opinions and passion. This nurse's day celebration should be organized annually to achieve the main objective of recognizing the nurse profession in Malaysia.
