PUTRAJAYA, Nov 1 - For the first time, the First National Conference of the Center for Academic Medicine was organized by the University Malaya Medical Center (PPUM) together with the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) on November 1 and 2, 2018 at the Ministry of Higher Education Building, Presint 5 Federation of Putrajaya. The theme of the conference was the Patient Quality and Security Improvement 2018 which was attended by various hospitals of the university and hospitals of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).
As the program is under the Consortium of the University of Public Health Malaysia (KHUAM), the Teaching Hospital Universiti Putra Malaysia (HPUPM) has participated in the exhibition for this conference. This direct participation has given HPUPM an opportunity to introduce services and commercialize innovation products and services at HPUPM to the public. Apart from introducing HPUPM to the public, the exhibition also attracted visitors to know and understand the seven key areas or niches that will be introduced in HPUPM. The seven niches are stroke care center (RESQ), prostate care center, sport injury and arthroscopic surgery (SIASCOE) , dermatology and clinical immunology, zoonotic, gerontology and cancer-hematology (REACH).
HPUPM Booth was attended by YBhg. Dato 'Dr. Mohd Gazali Abas, Secretary General of the Ministry of Education Malaysia and was given a brief introduction on the HPUPM progress and direction by the Director. Videos related to HPUPM and latest photos of HPUPM construction developments are also shared during the two days of this exhibition session. The participation of the exhibition also provided space for HPUPM to introduce "Heart of HPUPM", a group of hospitals volunteer and thus attracted the public to register as volunteers for HPUPM.
The two-days program has been well-executed and has attracted visitors to learn more about HPUPM's progress and hopefully with this promotion event, HPUPM will be known more widely and will benefit the hospital when it comes to operating.
