Serdang, May 10 - The World Nurses Day celebrated on May 12 each year has been given the theme "Nurses: A Voice to Lead - Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals", calling on all nurses to improve the quality of services to patients.
Director of Teaching Hospital Universiti Putra Malaysia (HPUPM), Prof. Madya Dr. Muhammad Hj Mohd Isa said nursing is encouraged to not limit to hospitals and clinics only but should be encouraged to reach the local community.
"I urge all nurses, especially in HPUPM to strengthen patient care services and enhance nursing image in the future," he added during the Nurse Day Celebration Ceremony in UPM.
The ceremony was presented with a pledge from nurses and performances from UPM Nursing students.
Located at the HPUPM Auditorium, 160 staff and students attended this celebration to support and recognize nursing profession, especially in UPM. The program also provided opportunities for all nurses and nursing students at UPM to exchange ideas and experience.
