Serdang, February 20 - The Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital (HPUPM) has taken the initiative to fully support the blood donation campaign in which the first activity for 2019 was presented with the Blood Donation Campaign Program 2019. It is in line with HPUPM's intention to continue increase the awareness of blood donation campaign among the community.
The collaboration program between HPUPM and the National Blood Center (PDN) takes place at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), UPM to promote the importance and benefits of donating blood especially among staff and students.
Examination and screening events were held to get eligible participants to donate blood. Participants are also presented with blood donation posters to improve their general knowledge.
A total of 169 participants have registered and 98 have donated blood successfully. Great participation of UPM staff has attracted the interest of the PDN to continue working with the UPM in future.
