Serdang, April 3 - It is the responsibility of a Muslim in ensuring the smoothness of Qur'an recital so that there is no error from its meaning and tajwid.
Therefore, the Waqaf and Endowment Management Center (WAZAN) with the collaboration of Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital (HPUPM) and Al-Baghdadi Teaching Hospital have established the Quran teaching class as a platform for UPM staff, especially Muslims in improving Al- Quran recital.
The Launching Ceremony was held at the HPUPM Banquet Hall, which was also the first program at HPUPM before they start the operation.
Prof. Madya Dr. Muhammad Mohd Isa, Director of HPUPM explained that with the existence of Quran classes in HPUPM, it would be a good starting point for future HPUPM operations and hope more interested staff participate in this class.
WAZAN's director, Dr. Haji Razali Othman, who is also officiating the ceremony, expressed the intention to continue the collaboration between WAZAN, HPUPM and Al-Baghdadi in assisting and guiding UPM staff in need.
About 50 UPM staff participates in the class that will be held every Wednesday and the duration of study is for 4 months. Participants were also divided into 2 classes namely the Basic Class and the Tajwid Class led by ustaz from Al-Baghdadi.
