The Role of Hybrid Molecular Imaging in Cardiology

 

Serdang, June 19 - Heart attack can be avoided if it can be detected earlier.  During the Clinical Pathological Conference (CPC) at the Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital (HPUPM) today, the Role of Hybrid Molecular Imaging in Cardiology has been introduced to the participant.

Dr. Kang Felix, of the National Heart Center Singapore, said the Hybrid Molecular Imaging method in heart treatment is widely used throughout the region, including in Asia.

He also explained in detail the role of the method in early detection of heart disease and through Nuclear Scan such as Calcium Score, Angiography and others.

He also discussed specifically about Ischemic related to Myocardiac Infarction where early detection through the Nuclear Hybrid Imaging method can prevent heart attacks.

A total of 46 participants included physicians from various institutions have joined the conference to acquire the latest knowledge in the field of cardiology and Nuclear Hybrid Imaging. The second CPC is giving a positive impact to UPM and HPUPM.
